Our yearbook staff—combining forces with the Panther Press staff since August—has collected well over 10,000 photos during the calendar year 2022. With only 240 pages in each edition of the Haven Yearbook, most of these photos are never published. We try to share as many photos as possible on our SmugMug account, but managing the photography workflow of a slew of volunteer student photographers is a monumental task.

It is an equally monumental task to identify one or two photos from each month that represent the best of our work in 2022. But every publication I read is flooding its feed with ‘photos of the year,’ and I’m feeling a little FOMO… so I’ve decided to try.

Please know that this is only a sampling of some of the photos that this adviser remembers fondly—often as much due to the circumstances of the photo as to the quality of the photo itself.

I couldn’t be prouder of the progress that our student photographers have made as a team over the last several years. It’s been a remarkable journey—compare our SmugMug from 2019-2020 to this year’s collection to see what I mean.

Okay, here goes.  -KP
