Dear Strath Haven Seniors and Parents,
On behalf of the yearbook staff, we are excited to announce that our 2020-2021 Haven Yearbook will be released this summer for the Class of 2021, and at the start of the fall semester for our underclassmen! We are writing to share that there are only pros to extending the release of the yearbook. Although students will not be receiving the book in June, the book will be able to showcase events it never has before.
Sports have been postponed, events have been canceled, and our schedule has changed numerous times. Many of the annual events we usually incorporate into the yearbook are not taking place this year. Despite these challenging times, we have found a way to make the yearbook as full and vibrant as possible. Our usual deadline is just after spring break, but instead, we can now include the wider re-opening of school on April 12, spring sports seasons and activities, as well as the senior celebrations and graduation.
Our yearbook will contain history in the making—exciting, right?
Students will still have the chance to exchange autographs and give their classmates any last words. We are in communication with senior class advisers on when seniors will receive uniquely designed supplements for signing—this will be at one or more of the senior events that are in the works.
Senior yearbooks will be available for pickup at the school in early August. Underclassmen will receive their yearbooks in the fall.
We have made this decision in order to fulfill yearbook expectations to the best of our ability during these unprecedented times, while documenting a historic school year. This is good and exciting news for all of us! The school year has felt very disconnected for many. Our hope is to bring back some sense of connection with our yearbook.
Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
