When and where will these portraits happen?
All senior portraits this year will take place at STUDIO 1922 — Barksdale’s photography studio at 380 Turner Way in Aston.
Photos are scheduled exclusively for Strath Haven High School Seniors on the following dates:
- Thursday, June 12
- Friday, June 13
- Monday, June 23
- ADDED: Thursday, July 10
- Friday, July 18
- Wednesday, July 23
Times vary by the date. Although there is time to photograph the entire class, the schedule has limited availability at the times you want.
How do I schedule my senior portrait sitting?
EVERY MEMBER OF THE CLASS OF 2026 MUST SCHEDULE THEIR PORTRAIT SITTING.
Use the link below to schedule your portraits. Each senior needs to schedule their senior portraits at Studio 1922 in Aston at the time that works best for you.
IMPORTANT TIP: When you complete the form, use a non-school email address that you check regularly. Barksdale will send a scheduling reminder to this email address. Your school email address cannot receive external emails, so you will not receive a reminder if you use your wssdgmail adress.
ANOTHER TIP: Please only reserve the time you want, as there are limited spaces. If you sign up for more than one sitting, both of your slots may be canceled!
How much does it cost?
It’s free! There is no fee for your senior portrait sitting.
Barksdale will send you proofs of your photos after your sitting, and your family will have the option to purchase photos if you choose.
You’ll also be able to choose your 2026 Haven Yearbook photo from the proofs of your formal poses. Barksdale will supply this photo to our yearbook team—again, absolutely free of charge.
Barksdale does offer an optional deluxe package for $25. You can sign up for this when you register, but it is totally optional. The deluxe package is a great opportunity to get photos in more than one casual outfit.
What do I wear?
You’ll have a casual pose and a formal pose included in the free session.
1) Come dressed in your favorite outfit, your sports uniform, your band uniform, or any other attire that you’d like to wear for this casual pose. We encourage you to use the casual pose to really show off your personality. Cowboy boots & hat? Fencing uniform? Art smock with a camera around your neck? Feel free to bring a prop that represents you—your musical instrument? Your lacrosse stick? Your paintbrushes or tool belt? Your choices allow the photographers to get creative with casual photography. It should be fun!
2) Yearbook and Strath Haven require a formal pose. For this formal pose, you’ll wear either a tux top or a drape. You can see examples of these formal poses in our past yearbooks. Please bring/wear a solid white t-shirt to wear under the tux or a dark-colored strapless shirt/camisole to wear under the drape. The tux or formal drape will be provided by the photographer.
If you choose the deluxe package, you’ll be able to bring one additional outfit.

Wait. Why am I taking these photos when I’m still a junior?
Well… technically, after June 11 you won’t be a junior anymore, right?
Senior photos normally take place in the spring or summer of your junior year. This allows time for a re-take session in the early fall, and time for you to select your yearbook poses early enough that we can put the 2025 book together.
We are hoping to get the entire Class of 2026 photographed during these summer dates! You’ll get to choose the yearbook photo that best represents you from several different poses, as well as have the option to purchase additional shots.
What about retakes?
We’ll have retakes scheduled in the fall—October 28-29—at the high school. This will be the only re-take session at Strath Haven.
What if I don’t schedule, or I miss my appointment?
Try your best to get your portraits taken this summer! Any students who miss the summer appointments will have only one remaining option: re-take appointments at the high school in October. Retake appointments include only the formal pose, with no opportunity for another retake later if you don’t like the photo.
Why the change to photos at Barksdale from our previous practice of on-site photos at Strath Haven?
We like what Barksdale has to offer. You’ll have mirrors, a changing room, and the on-site support to make this an efficient appointment that is centered on YOU—not on the logistics and limitations of a location at our high school. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend. Most of our peer schools schedule their senior photos offsite to make this time really special.
